When trying to differentiate between STEMI and pericarditis, remember that…

  • PR depression/downsloping can be found in ACS and is not pathognomonic for pericarditis
  • PR elevation in aVR can also be found in ACR and is not specific to pericarditis
Spodick’s sign refers specifically to TP-segment downsloping, NOT ST-segment downsloping
